Lo Riddell is a lesbian writer, zinemaker, and pushcart-nominated poet.

Currently based in New England, they grew up in southern Ohio and hold a BFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University. Lo lives with their spouse (cartoonist and illustrator Al Benbow), their cat Millie, and a goldfish named Ponyo.

Both creatively and academically, one of Lo’s greatest muses is popular culture. From poems inspired by beloved television shows to feminist analyses of American entertainment, Lo’s work returns to these ideas again and again. They especially enjoy writing about nostalgia, film and literature analysis, religion, and twentieth century American culture.

When they’re not writing or working at their day job as a librarian, they’re likely eating ice cream, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or sewing their own clothes. You can find all of the above on Instagram: @vintagelouisa.
